Cha, Cha, Cha

Cha Cha is a party dance! Whereas the Rumba might have a more romantic expression, the interpretation of Cha Cha music should produce a happy, carefree, party-time-like dance.Cha Cha is an exciting, syncopated Latin dance which originated in the 1940’s as a modified form of Mambo. It is fun, energetic, sexy and flirtatious and easily distinguished from other dances by its addictive “Step, Step, Cha Cha Cha” rhythm. The Cha Cha gets its name and character from its distinct repetitive foot rhythm. Cha Cha music is written in 4/4 time with a tempo of 128 beats per minute.
